the story 1.
It's already been 5 months since I came to Canada.
In order to change my environment and to give myself a more
constructive and meaningful cahllenge, I had to leave all the
people that I love the most in Vancouver and start again from
the very beginning.
The first day of my new school was not so happy and
pleasant, because I finally bacame aware that my English is
pitifully poor. Honestly, I needed to be taken down a peg or
two. I was very big-headed about my English and I've been
wasting precious time and money. Apparently, I've been im-
proving and getting more confident, but that's not enough for
paying back all that money to my parents.
Konwing varied use of a lot of vocabulary is of paramount
importance to my English.
My sister told me one thing to encourage me when I was
having a hard time in high school studying to achieve my
goal for the Korean SAT.
"If you were trusted by someone else, to be better and by
yourself as well, you would be, you should be!"
Every time I hear from friends in Vancouver via email and
SMS, I'm truely encouraged, ain't I?
It will be tough, hard and lonely. It will be the worst bitch
ever. But as long as they are standing behind me and wat-
ching me, as long as their gazes are lighting me, I have
enough reason to go for it, to accomplish it.
(It's quite long and tough, though...)
