병원에서 쓰는 기본 용어

심장계통

눌러오는 듯 아프다. The pain feels heavy, crushing
밤에 자다가 숨이 차서 일어난다. I wake up short of breath at night
침대에 드러누우면 숨이 차진다. I get short of breath when I lie down.
조금 힘든 일을 하면 숨이 차진다. I get short of breath on exertion.
어지럽다. I feel dizzy / Light-headed/ giddy/ feel like fainting.
드러누웠다가 갑자기 일어나면 어지러워진다.
I get dizzy when I stand up from lying down.
기절을 했다. I had a syncope/ I lost consciousness.
손, 발이 쥐가 오른 듯 따끔하다. I have pins and needles in my fingers / toes.
가끔씩 눈앞이 흐려지는 경우가 있다. My arms /legs feel heavy and weak.
팔과 다리에 감각이 없어졌다. I feel numb in my arms and legs.
피곤이 쉽게 온다. I get tired / lethargic easily

피부질환

피부가 가렵다. My skin feels itchy
피부가 건성/지성이다. My skin is dry/ oily
머리가 빠진다. My hair keeps falling out.
피부에 화상을 입었다. I had burns to my skin.
입술이 부르텄다. I have blisters on my lips.

호흡계통

가래가 섞인 기침을 한다. I cough up a flam. I have a productive cough.
피가 섞인 기침을 한다. There is blood in my sputum. I cough up blood.
가슴이 아프다. I have chest pain.
숨을 들이킬 때 더 심하다. The pain is worse on breathing in.
목소리가 쉬었다. My voice is hoarse / croaky.
목이 부었다/ 목이 아프다. I have a sore throat.

소화기 계통

식욕이 없다. I have lost appetite. I don’t feel like eating.
몸무게가 줄었다. I have lost weight.
입맛은 계속 좋은데 살이 자꾸 빠진다. I am losing weight despite good appetite
헛구역질/ 트림을 한다. I burp
입에 신맛을 느낄 수 있다. I have bitter taste in my mouth.
입에 신물이 올라온다. I regurgitate acid.
배가 아프다. I have pain in my stomach/ tummy
소화제를 먹어도 낫지를 않는다. Antacids do not relieve it. Antacids don’t help
배가 더부룩하게 부은 것 같다. My stomach feels bloated/ full
배가 단단하게 만져진다. I can feel a hard lump in my stomach.
몸에 부기가 있다. My body is swollen. I have edema.
황달기가 있다. I have jaundice. My skin/ eyes have turned yellow.
토할 것 같다/ 구토증이 있다. I feel nauseous/ sick/like throwing up.
피를 토했다. I vomited blood. There is blood in my vomit.
단단한 음식/ 음료수를 삼키기가 힘들다. I find it difficult to swallow solid food/liquids.
음식이 목에 걸렸다. The food is stuck in my throat.
설사를 했다. I have diarrhea.
음식이 체했다. I have indigestion.
변이 묽어 졌다. I have loose/ watery bowel motions
변비가 있다( 변이 단단해 졌다) I am constipated( I have hard bowel motions)
설사와 변비가 번갈아 있다. It alternates between diarrhea and constipation
치질이 있다. I have haemorrhoids.(piles)

혈핵계통

멍이 쉽게 든다. I bruise easily
코피를 자주 흘린다. I bleed often from my nose
임파선이 커졌다. My lymph nodes are enlarged.
수혈을 받은 적이 있다. I have received blood transfusions in the past
빈혈을 하고 싶다. I want to give/ donate blood
내 혈액형은 * 형이다. My blood type is

비뇨계통

소변이 자주 마렵다. I pee more often. I pass water/ urinate more often.
소변을 보는데 따갑게 아프다. I have burning pain on urination/ passing water.
생리양이 많아졌다/ 적어졌다. My period is heavier/ lighter (in volume)
생리통이 심하다. I have severe menstrual/ period pain.(cramps 라고도 하죠)
생리를 자주 거른다. I skip my periods often.
냉이 있다. I have vaginal discharge.
피임약을 사용하고 있다. I am using a contraceptive device.
피임도구를 사용하고 있다. I am using a contraceptive device.
예전에 성병에 걸린 적이 있다. I had a STD ( Sexually Transmitted Disease ) in the past.
