바이올린 연주가 범상치 않아 검색 했더니 줄리어드 음대를 나왔고 그의 스승인 도로시 딜레이 선생님(줄리아드음대 교수)한테 수업받았고 와우^^
장영주(사라장)도 도로시 선생님한테 배웠던데.....여튼 대단 하네요 ^^
우연히 본 소녀시절 연주 모습이 너무 좋아서 찾아 보았더니, 국내 포탈엔 정보가 별로 없어 검색 해 보니 그녀의 홈피가 있엇네요 ^^

Esther's first public appearance was with the Crystal Cathedral Orchestra in 1998 playing the Mendelssohn violin concerto, which was broadcasted on TV throughout USA and Europe. Thereafter, she had concerts as a soloist with Rio Hondo Symphony, Marina Del Rey-Westchester Orchestra, Peninsula Symphony and others. In 2002, Esther won "Prix du President" at the International Yehudi Menuhin Violin Competition. This prize was specially created for Esther by the president and the chairman of the jury of the Menuhin Competition, and she was invited to play at the gala concert. In 2002, she appeared as a guest soloist in the International Sejong Soloists. In April 2003, she had a joint recital with Professor Charles Webb, Dean Emeritus of Indiana University. She performed as a featured soloist with Seoul Sinfonietta at the Seoul Art Center in Seoul on July 2003. Shortly thereafter, in September 2003, she had a debut concert in Japan at the Kioi Hall in Tokyo. In 2004, Esther won the EMCY (European Union of Music Competitions for Youth) prize for art. In April 2005, she had a Euro Debut concert tour in Germany. On August 23, 2005, at the Aichi Art Theatre Concert Hall, Esther was a featured soloist playing Tchaikovsky violin concerto with the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra. She again was invited for a recital at Kioi Hall in Tokyo in September 2005. Esther Kim (born 1988, California, USA) is a prize winner of several international violin competitions, including the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition for Young Violinists and the International Competition for Violin and Viola - Bled, Slovenia.
Esther Kim made her first television appearance at the age of seven on the popular Fox Network television drama, Party of Five. Her first solo appearance with orchestra was at the age of eight performing the Mozart Violin Concerto. One year later, she performed Paganini's Concerto #1 with the Claremont Symphony Orchestra. Shortly after, she performed the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto on an international television broadcast. She appeared as a guest soloist with the International Sejong Soloists for a New York benefit concert where Paula Zahn of CNN acted as the Master of Ceremonies. In 2003, Esther performed at the Seoul Arts Center with the Seoul Sinfonietta. She toured throughout Germany for concerts arranged by the European Union Music Competitions for Youth (EMCY) in 2004. Esther performed with the Nagoya Philharmonic as a soloist performing Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto at the Aichi Arts Theatre Concert Hall in Japan during the Aichi Expo. She was also invited to perform numerous recitals at Kioi Hall in Tokyo. In the same year, she performed several concerts in Italy, Austria, and Slovenia. Most recently, she was invited to Japan for a performance that was broadcasted on NHK television in 2006. Esther frequently performs benefit concerts with Charles Webb, Dean Emeritus of the Indiana University Music School throughout the United States.

At the age of twelve, she was awarded by the Los Angeles Philharmonic's Bronislaw Kaper Awards as "Most Promising Musician". In March of 2004, the European Union Music Competitions for Youth (EMCY) presented her with the “Art for Music Award".
Esther Kim was born in Southern California. Her passion for the violin emerged when she began studying music at the age of five. At the age of ten, she attended the Juilliard School of Music where she studied with the late Dorothy DeLay and Naoko Tanaka. After Delay’s passing, she continued her studies with Hyo Kang. At 14 years of age, she entered the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria to study with Michael Frischenschlager. Esther is currently studying with Jaime Laredo at the Indiana University School of Music.
