조선현장에 종사하는 외국인 근로자에게 공연티켓을 1달러에 제공하는 ‘1달러의 감동’ 문화이벤트가 눈길을 끌고 있다.
거제문화예술회관은 26일 오후 7시30분 거제문화예술회관 대극장에서 막을 올리는 ‘전제덕의 하모니카 스토리’ 기획공연 티켓을 외국인 근로자 선착순 200명에게 1달러에 판매한다. 이 공연의 공식입장료는 R석이 3만원, S석이 2만원에 달한다.
이번 이벤트는 문화예술을 자주 접하지 못하는 국제결혼 이민자 가족과 대우조선해양, 삼성중공업 등 조선소에 근무하는 외국인 근로자에게 티켓을 대폭 할인해 문화예술 향유의 기회를 주기 위해 마련됐다.
시각 장애인인 전제덕은 영혼을 울리는 음악세계로 ‘한국의 스티비 원더’라 불리는 재즈 하모니카 연주자이다.
그는 이번 공연에서 국내 최고의 연주자들로 구성된 13명의 밴드와 함께 무대에 올라 하모니카와는 전혀 어울릴 것 같지 않은 펑크와 소울을 멋지게 담아낼 예정이다.
거제문화예술회관 기획담당자는 “외국인 근로자들의 노고에 감사하는 마음을 담아 공연장의 문턱을 낮추고자 기획했다. 앞으로도 외국인들이 공감할 수 있는 수준높은 공연 티켓을 저렴하게 제공해 외국인들의 문화충전을 지속적으로 돕겠다”고 말했다. 양영석기자 yys@knnews.co.kr

The special event of Geoje Art Center, Sharing out the culture to foreigners,
"1dollar`s Impression"
Geoje Art Center(Chief director, Kim Han-gyeom) which was established in order to have cultural competition keeping pace with the economic pace as the world shipbuilding industry city will hold the special event, "Sharing out the culture to foreigners - 1dollar`s impression" in the special performance, "Jeon Jae-deok`s harmonica story" at 19:30 on February 26th.
This is the program which gives a performance ticket on only 1dollar to 200 people who have few chances to contact the culture and art on a first-come-first-served basis. Targets are immigrants by international marriage as well as foreign workers of DSME, Samsung Heavy Industry and other company related the shipbuilding industry. And they also have to live in Geoje.
A staff of Geoje Art Center said, " This event was planned to lower the doorsill of theatre for more than 6,000 foreigners in 150 nations in Geoje city and to thank for their labor which helps Geoje city to make the best shipbuilding industry city in the world. And Geoje Art Center will continue to help foreigners to enjoy the high quality culture by offering the ticket on only 1 dollar.
Jeon Jae-deok is a blind jazz harmonica player who became famous via CF on TV. And now, he is called Stevie Wonder of Korea. He has his own musical world to move the audience`s soul. In his performance of Geoje, "Jeon Jae-deok`s Harmonica Story", he will give all audience the deep impression on the human victory with the tranquil lyricism and musical technology with the best 13 musicians in Korea.
