The long-awaited rain has just fallen hard

upon the thirsty ground

Have carved their way to

where the wild and rushing river can be found

And like the rain I have been carried here to

where the river flows

 

My heart is racin' and

my knees are weak as I walk to the edge

I know there is no turning back once

my feet have left the ledge

And in the rush I hear a voice telling me

it's time to take a leap of faith

So here I go

 

 

I'm diving in

I'm going deep in over my head

I wanna be caught in the rush,

lost in the flow in over my head

I wanna go.

　

The river's deep, The river's wide

The river's water is alive

So sink or swim

I'm diving in

I'm diving in

 

There is a supernatural power

in this mighty river's flow

It can bring the dead to life,

we can fill an empty soul

And give a heart the only thing

worth living and dying for

 

But we will never know

the awesome power of the grace of God

Until we let ourselves be swept away

into this holy flood

So if you'll take my hand and close your eyes

and count to three

And take the leap of faith

Come on let's go

 

 

오랫동안 기다렸던 비가

메마른 땅 위에 이제 막 뿌리기 시작하며

빗물은 급하게 흘러내려가는 강이 있는 곳으로

굽이쳐 내려갑니다.

빗줄기 같이, 나 또한 강물이 흐르는 곳으로

여기까지 인도되었습니다.

 

가슴은 요동치고,

벼랑 끝으로 몰린 것처럼  무릎은 힘을 잃으며

발이 벼랑 끝에 몰리는 순간

더 이상 돌이킬 수 없다는 것을 알고 있습니다.

이런 물결 속에서,이제는 믿음으로 뛰어들라

말씀하시는 한 음성을 들었습니다.

그래서 여기서 나는 나아갑니다.

 

 

그 속으로 뛰어듭니다.

머리까지 잠기도록 깊숙이 들어갑니다.

그 급류에 붙들려, 머리까지 잠겨

그 물결에 사라져 버리길 원합니다.

뛰어들기 원합니다.

 

그 강은 깊고 넓으며

그 강물은 살아있습니다.

그래서 잠기던지 헤엄치던지

난 뛰어듭니다.

난 뛰어듭니다.

 

이 거대한 강물에는

초자연적인 능력이 있습니다.

죽은 자를 살릴 수 있고,

공허한 영혼을 채워 줄 수도 있습니다.

그리고 살고 죽을 만한 가치가 있는

유일한 목표를 마음에 심어줍니다.

 

그러나 우리는 하나님의 은혜의

놀라운 능력을 전혀 모릅니다.

이 거룩한 강물 속으로

완전히 우리 자신을 던지기 전까지는.

만일 당신이 내 손을 잡고,

눈을 감고 셋을 센다면

믿음으로 뛰어들 것입니다.
