June I 'm now on duty so can't talk to you long in this email.

You have been raised for your whole life in US?.. then, you might feel so weird.

Korea's group culture is kinda different and specific from other far east countries such as Japan, China.

Here in Turkey, I feel astonishing working with Turkish people. They never have a meal together, do not go for drink together, and do not do any group activities in organization.

I was curious and tried to figure out thier characteristics( usually assertive, dogmatic personality),

According to some of history books, the origin of Turkish was Ottoman Turk empire, which was conqueror of Mediterranean sea and europe. Now that they were nomads who is comprised of lots of different tribes.. they could never trust each other truly in Ottoman Turk empire, they would have teamed up for wining a war.

After getting to know some of their history, I do not strive to complain against the Turkish.. Korea also might have some specific history for the present culture.

I now feel that I wouldn't have to critisize those things, cause  I have my own discretion to follow or not.

If we do not rely on some group financially and mentally, I assume we do not have to conform ourselves to specific culture or inclination.

Actually, in Korea, I have been leashed by myself and my obsession,(like I can't live without Koreans out of Korea) not due to others. To stop perpetuating stereotypes and prejudices, I got to know it is important for us to expose ourselves to different cultural ideals and beliefs.

Now I feel free cause I do not depend fully on my family and relatives of Korea.

I recommend you think the way I do now for your identity and mental health. Even if world is getting similar and global, the base of culture is deep-rooted.
