미국과 영국이 동해를 Sea of Japan으로 단독표기하겠다는 의견을 표출한 요즘,

우리 대한국인이 가만히 있을 수는 없습니다.

우리가 직접 나서서 세계지도상의 동해가 Sea of Japan으로 돼있는 경우를 East Sea로 고쳐야겠죠?

Sea of Japan으로 돼있는 지도를 보실 수 있을 겁니다. 일단 이메일을 하나 켜시고요.

위의 오른쪽에 써져있는 서한을 보낼 메일 주소에 서한을 보내면 됩니다. 서한 양식은 아래에

The uploaded map regarding the sea at the right of Korean peninsula (                        )

contains incorrect information about East Sea that is seriously BIASED and WRONG. It marks the sea as Sea of Japan. The official appearance of 'Sea of Japan' in the world society is due to IHO(International Hydrographic Organization)'s publishment of Limits of Oceans and Seas for safe sailing in 1929. Before IHO, there was no organization which standardizes a sea name internationally. After IHO was established, in the course of designating many sea's name and publishing the booklet, Korean people naturally couldn't participate because Japanese Imperialism annexed Korea illegally and made Korea its colony and ultimately our sovereignty was deprived by Japan. So of course Korean couldn't suggest any opinions for publishment of the booklet. In conclusion of Japan's solo participance in this course of making the booklet without Korea, the sea was named 'Japan Sea', after this time, this conclusion became a very crucial chance which the marks of 'Sea of Japan' start to expand in world maps. Obviously(with many ancient maps), until even the mid of 19th century, not only Korea but also Japan and other country such as France marked the sea as East Sea in world maps. If you don't substitute East Sea for Sea of Japan, this website will continue to let people know and trust wrong information derived from Japanese Imperialism, and if those who know the truth which East Sea is correct way to mark the sea see the map, this website may be able to be seen as ignorant pro-(Japanese)Imperialism.
