Looks like Korea are set to go through, probably the biggest surprise alongside Ghana thus far. this is football. a better team is not always the winner. a team that survives at the end is the winner. i don't know if u have noticed but this is not usually typical style of korea. they usually play much quicker and give lots of pressures from midfield but tonight we didn't see much of it. instead they managed to keep the match in slow tempo, waited until the last time and succeeded in one good opportunity to score. Good finish by Park, Bartez actually had a slight touch on the ball and thats why it looked little funny going in the net. My best wish to Togo! hope togo can upset the whole world by beating france or switzerland.

The South Korean supporters at the game were amazing! They sang non stop (loudly), jumping up and down for the whole 90 minutes and going behind didn't quieten them at all.

Amazing support by the Korean supporters, and they definately urged all the korean players to push forward at the last 20 or 30 mins to tie the score (based on D. Advocaat's substitutions, i thought he was willing to accept 1-0 loss and prepare for the swiss game) However, this is def. a lucky win.. France (mainly Makelele) dominated midfield for most of the game and for them to just sit back and protect the lead was pathetic considering that they have world class players that can score (excluding Thierry Henry)

I agree, however france kept pressing in search for more goals after their first goal from half time till the early minutes of second half, they probably would have gone up if some of their team members were not selfish (not naming who) and henry had another day off after that first goal, kudos to the south korean team, amazing stamina lasting full 90 mins from each of its players and nice subs by korean manager, his gamble paid off with the french defenders forcusing more on Anh in the penalty box and Seo in the wing which led to the space in giving Park a sneak goal :D Guess France are not their usual glorious self anymore, if they dun manage to get into the second round, i can see the manager and half the aging team members packing their bags, they should start an overhaul and bring in young blood for their euro campaign. Its too bad that Zidane has to end his career this way, he deserved more. But then this is football, the best team does not always win,the one that sticks it through the end does ;)

이게 바로 축구야. 강한 팀이 승자가 아니고 마지막에 생존하는 팀이 승자다. 니들이 알았는지 몰겠지만 한국은 오늘 그들 특유의 스타일대로 경기를 풀어나가지 못했다. 그들은 대개 빠르고 미드필드에서 많은 압박을 가하지만 오늘 우리는 그런 걸 볼수 없었지. 반대로 그들은 게임을 느리게 진행하다가 마지막까지 기다려서 결국 좋은 기회를 골로 연결시켰어.
팍의 좋은 피니쉬였고 바테즈가 약간 볼을 건드려서 약간 웃기게 들어간것 같아. 토고에게 행운을! 그들이 프랑스나 스위스를 눌러 세계를 놀라게 하길 바란다.

The South Korean supporters at the game were amazing! They sang non stop (loudly), jumping up and down for the whole 90 minutes and going behind didn't quieten them at all.
한국 써포터들은 정말 놀라웠어! 그들은 결코 노래를 멈추지 않고 90분간 줄곧 뛰며 응원을 멈추지 않았다.
Amazing support by the Korean supporters, and they definately urged all the korean players to push forward at the last 20 or 30 mins to tie the score (based on D. Advocaat's substitutions, i thought he was willing to accept 1-0 loss and prepare for the swiss game)
However, this is def. a lucky win.. France (mainly Makelele) dominated midfield for most of the game and for them to just sit back and protect the lead was pathetic considering that they have world class players that can score (excluding Thierry Henry)
한국 응원단은 정말 놀라웠고 그 열렬한 응원은 선수들로 하여금 마지막 20~30분에도 앞으로 밀어붙이게끔 만들어 결국 동점골을 이뤄냈다. 아드보 감독의 교체 성향에 비추어 보아 그는 아마 1=0의 패배를 받아들이고 스위스전에 집중하기로 한 것처럼 보였지만. 하지만 이것은 분명히 행운의 승리였다. 프랑스는 (거의 마케렐레) 중원을 장악했고 그들이 뒤로 물러서 리드를 지키는 건 그들의 가진 월드클래스의 선수들을 생각하면 정말 유치한 발상이었다.

프랑스의 전술은 멍청했다. 모두 한국이 마지막까지 도전할 것을 알고 있는데 1:0의 점수차로 지키기 작전은 정말 멍청했고 그 값을 치른 셈이지.
I was amazed too. French supporters definitly way outnumbered Korean's, but couldn't hear them at all.

With all the korean supporters shouting, dancing, singing, and playing the drums so vociferously, it would have been impossible for korean players to just sit back or give up.. Ray Domenech should have known .. but hey, I'm glad that he made the stupid mistake and I am thankful for his mistakes (I still think D. Advocaat is one lucky coach)
Park Ji Sung's finish at the end was just pure class.. I wonder if RVN taught him how to poach a classic goal like that..
한국 응원단의 그 열렬한 외치고, 춤추고, 노래하고, 크게 북을 울리는 그 응원 속에서 한국 선수들이 주저 앉고 포기하는 것은 불가능 했을 것이다. 도메네쉬 감독은 그걸 알았어야 했다. 그러나, 이봐, 난 사실 그가 그런 실수를 한게 기쁘다고. 감사할 따름이지. (난 아직도 아드보카트 감독이 운좋은 감독이라고 생각하지만) 마지막 박지성의 피니쉬는 pure class 였어. 아마 루드가 그런 클래식한 골을 넣는 법을 가르친 게 아닐까?
I agree, however france kept pressing in search for more goals after their first goal from half time till the early minutes of second half, they probably would have gone up if some of their team members were not selfish (not naming who) and henry had another day off after that first goal, kudos to the south korean team, amazing stamina lasting full 90 mins from each of its players and nice subs by korean manager, his gamble paid off with the french defenders forcusing more on Anh in the penalty box and Seo in the wing which led to the space in giving Park a sneak goal :D
Guess France are not their usual glorious self anymore, if they dun manage to get into the second round, i can see the manager and half the aging team members packing their bags, they should start an overhaul and bring in young blood for their euro campaign.
Its too bad that Zidane has to end his career this way, he deserved more. But then this is football, the best team does not always win,the one that sticks it through the end does ;)
동의한다. 하지만 프랑스도 첫골 이후 후반전 초반까지는 두번째 골을 넣기 위해 계속 압박했었어. 아마 그들은 팀의 몇몇이 조금만 더 이기적이지 않았다면 성공할 수도 있었을테고 앙리는 첫골 이후 또 다시 휴가받아 사라졌지. 90분간 한국 선수들의 체력은 놀라왔고 감독의 교체도 좋았다. 안정환에 프랑스 수비들이 집중된 틈을 타 윙어 설기현이 크로스를 올리고 그 열린 공간으로 박지성이 골을 집어넣었다.
프랑스는 예전 영광의 프랑스가 아닌 것 같다. 만일 그들이 16강 진출에 실패한다면 감독과 팀원 절반은 당장 가방을 싸고 재정비하여 앞으로 있을 유로컵을 위해 새로운 피를 수혈해야 할 거야.
지단의 커리어가 이런 식으로 종결되는 건 안타깝지만 이것이 축구이다. 최고의 팀이 언제나 이기는 것이 아니라 마지막까지 남는 자가 바로 승자인...
