Regarding the match between Korea and Switzerland
I am a soccer fan who watched the match between Korea and Switzerland this morning and felt extreme rage from the advantages given to the Switzerland team by the referee in every way.
One significant MISTAKE made by the Argentinian referee, "ELIZONDO" was counting "FREI"s 'goal', even after the assistant referee's raise of the flag.
First I was furious at the fact that the referee COMPLETELY IGNORED the assistant referee's flag and didn't consider the fact that all the Korean and Swiss players (except "FREI") stopped after seeing the flag.
HOWEVER. That is NOT the ONLY reason I feel this goal should not be counted.
I actually LOOKED UP the FIFA "Laws of the game 2006" on [http://www.fifa.com/documents/fifa/laws/LOTG2006_e.pdf]
"Law 11-OFFSIDE" said that "A player in an offside position is only penalised if, at the moment of the ball touches [...] he is [...] involved in active play" and that this "involvement in active play" includes "playing a ball that rebounds to him off an opponent having been in an offside position"
This means, that although the ball was in contact with "LEE Ho" before the Swiss player took the ball, because the Swiss player was ALREADY in the offside position, the Assistant Referee's decision to raise his flag was ABSOLUTELY correct.
The diagram number 12 on this pdf file shows exact situation of today's match, and this diagram clearly says that this is an "OFFSIDE OFFENCE"
I STRONGLY feel that this goal should NOT be counted. This NONSENSE goal and the referee's COMPLETE UNFAIRNESS and BIASENESS has disappointed thousands of fans of soccer counting myself. The fact that there hasn't even been a SINGLE official apology makes soccer even more disappointing.
If Soccer hasn't died, if FIFA is TRULY wanting a "FAIR GAME", if FIFA's vision, "Develop the game, touch the world, build a better future" is ACTUALLY what FIFA WANTS, Korea DESERVES a rematch, a FAIR rematch.
