Until now there has been no international consensus to ask for a ceasefire, while the death toll in Lebanon within 5 days has reached 240 people and more than 400 wounded, in addition to more than half a million people displaced
(전쟁이 시작된지 5일이 되었고 240명의 사람이 죽었으며 400명의 사람은 부상을 당했습니다. 그리고 50만명의 사람들은 이미 살곳을 잃은 상황입니다. 하지만 지금까지 어떤 국제 구도단체도 도움을 주지 않았습니다)
not to mention the unbelievable amount of destruction to my country’s infrastructure and the humanitarian crisis with many people having no access to food, water or milk for their children, and many rendered homeless.
(순히 믿기 어려운 우리나라의 상황을 말하기 위해서가아니라 우리나라은 기본적인 생존권의 위기에 닥쳐있습니다. 음식과 물과 그리고 아이들이 먹을 젖 그리고 집을 잃어버렸습니다. )
Half of Lebanon is isolated (with more than 40 bridges destroyed) impeding rescue efforts and depriving people from basic daily necessities.
(절반의 레바논 사람들은 고립되었습니다 -40개 이상의 다리들이 고립되었습니다- 그들은 기본적인 매일양식과 구조를 기다리고 있습니다.)
This in addition to the fact that Israel is using internationally prohibited weapons (phosphoric bombs) in their attacks on civilians. This humanitarian crisis will only worsen if nobody does something about it.
(게다가 사실 이스라엘은 국제법상으로 금지된 무기-인폭탄;생화학무기-를 레바논 공격에 사용하고 있습니다. 이런 인권의 위기는 어느누구도 아무일을 하지 않는다면 더 악화될 것입니다.)
The Lebanese Medical Students' International committee has prepared a Petition that will be sent to the UN, UN Security Council, EU, and other NGOs, institutions and councils working in the field of Human Rights and Peace.
(국제 레바논 의대생 연합은 인간의 권리와 평화를위하여 일하고 있는 UN, UN안보리, EU 그리고 다른 NGO와 단체 기구들에게 탄원서를 준비하고 있습니다.)
This petition consists of one paragraph asking the international community to seek an end to this violence. Please sign the petition and if possible forward it to you friends, relatives and whoever you think can help.
