소영의 혈액투석 영수증을 발견하고 화들짝 놀란 장수는 병원으로 달려간다.
핏기 잃은 모습으로 혈액투석 받는 소영을 목격한 장수는 이 모든 것이 자기 때문이라고 자책을 하며 잠든 소영 발 아래서 울음을 삼키며 오열한다.

귀가한 소영의 눈을 마주치지 못하는 장수.
장미 꽃잎을 띄워 목욕물을 받아놓은 장수에게 감동한 소영은 욕실 문을 사이에 두고 서로의 감정을 숨긴 채 행복했던 옛날을 회상한다.

다음 날 밝은 모습으로 소영을 감동시키는 장수. 아무도 모르게 신장이식 검사를 신청하는데..
