경제적 지표의 한계와 우리들 삶의 가치。

이 세상에는 값으로 환산하지 못하는 것들이 정말 많다.

다시 말해,

GDP라던지 GNP라던지 이러한 경제적 지표로는

우리의 삶의 질을 절대로 평가할 수 없는 것이다.

그런데 슬프게도-

우리들은 그러한 사실들을 너무나도 쉽게 잊어버린다.

아무리 돈이 절대적 힘이 되어가는 세상이라지만,

우리의 눈에 보이지 않는 가치들을 그냥 잊고 살기엔

우리들의 영혼이 너무 불쌍하다.

그 어떤 누구에게

저렇게 해맑게 웃고 있는 아이들의

삶의 가치를 논할 자격이 주어지는가.

경제적 풍요의 정도는

절대로

유일한

삶의 가치를 평가하는 척도가 되지 못한다.
