"I was slain by a rose.."

I was slain by a rose
with the sword of the night,
there is no defence
when the arrow's in flight.

With the shield of a rainbow
reflected in me,
destiny beckoned
my heart to be free.

But the chains of the rose
are a permanent bond,
her thorns a reminder
of what lies beyond.

I surrendered my heart
and the fire in my soul,
for the love of the rose
is forever my goal.

For the smile of the rose
I would give my all,
the scent of the rose
is my destiny's call,"
