R.D.릴케가 사랑했던 여인 살로메에게 이 시를 썼다고 한다. 내가 약간 수정해서 번역했는데, 원문 그대로 하면 약간은 충격적인 것이 많다. 내 눈을 감게하시오는 원 뜻대로 하자면, 내 눈을 빼버리시오, 라는 뜻이 되버리고, 내 귀를 닫게 하시오는 원래는 내 귀를 잘라버리시오라는 의미이다. 그렇게 한다고 해도 사랑하는 사람을 볼 수 있고, 들을 수 있다고 한 릴케의 열정은 정말 대단하다고 느껴진다. 5
