타락한 예술(Fallen Art)

태평양의 오래된 잊혀진 군부대에서 전쟁으로 정신을 잃은 한무리의 군인들이 마지막 사명을 완수하기 위해 모였다. 군인들은 종종 그들 자신도 납득할 수 없는 이유로 죽음을 강요당한다. 이 영화에서 그들의 삶은 음악 공연을 광적으로 좋아하는 한 거만한 독재자의 유희를 위한 부품일 뿐이다.

죽은병사들의 스틸사진으로 동영상을 만드는 장군,

그 장군은 자신의 작품을 감상하며 음악과 함께 미친듯이 춤을 춘다.

마치 에밀 쿠스트리차가 생각나게 하는 광기어린 음악,

그리고 죽은 병사들의 몸짓을 따라하는 혼자만의 퍼포먼스,

그 지독한 광기에  나역시 미친듯이 중독된 듯한 느낌이다.

마지막에 장군이 흘린 눈물은 죽은자들을 위한 죄책감일까?

아니면 자신의 예술성에 대한 자아도취 일까?
