They found his body lying

이른 아침이었어요 

황량한 땅 위스콘신에서 

그가 치면적인 로케트를 조종했을 때 

그때가 그의 마지막 때였어요 

사람들은 해안가 아래 떨어진 로켓위에 있는 

누워있는 그의 몸을 발견했지요 

잔잔한 물결이 너울거리는 그곳에서 

그리고는 참죽나무 아래에서 속삭였어요

Now every raft or lumber 

That's come down, the chip away 

There's a lonely grave that's visited by drivers on their way 

They plant the wild flowers upon it 

In the morning fair and fine

'Tis the grave of two young lovers 

From the river in the pines 

이제 모든 뗏목이나 목재들이 

떠내려와 씻어 버렸어요 

운전자들이 운전하는 길에 들르는 외로운 무덤을 

사람들은 무덤위에 야생꽃을 심었지요

화창하고 깨끗한 아침에 

이 두 개의 젊은 연인들의 무덤에..
