이 웃기지도 않은 논리를 pascal이란 당대의 수학자가 기발한 발상이라고 써냈다는 것에 실망을 느낀다. 어쨋든 The God delusion에도 이 Pascal's Wager가 나와있다. 그리고 여느때와 같이 자세하게 왜 PW가 틀린지를 설명해 준다.
" There's something distinctly odd about the argument, however. Believing is not something you can decide to do as a matter of policy. At least, it is not something I can decide to do as an act of will. I can decide to go to church and I can decide to recite the Nicene Creed, and I can decide to swear on a stack of bible that I believe every word inside them. But none of that can make me actually believe it if I don't. Pascal's Wager could only ever be an argument for feigning belief in God. "

정리하자면, Pascal's Wager는 언급할 가치가 없는 헛소리다.
아니, 더 나아가서 Anti-Pascal's Wager라는 것도 가능하다.
