진보란

우리는 살아 있는 동안 열심히 살면서 부지런히 일해야 한다.

우리에게 씨앗으로 왔던 것이 다음 세대에 가서 꽃으로 피어나고,

꽃으로 피어난 것이 그 다음 세대에 가서 열매를 맺을 것이다.

진보란 바로 이런 것을 의미한다.

We should so live and labor in our time

that what came to us as seed

may go to the next generation as blossom,

and that what came to us

as blossom may go to them as fruit.

This is what se mean by progress.
