2007년 하반기 가요계의 기대주 휘성이 소속사를 옮긴 후 처음으로 내 놓은 정규 음반을 통해 음악적으로 완전한 변신을 시도한다. 2년 간의 성장과 변신을 고스란히 담은 휘성의 5집 음반 [Eternal Essence of Music]은 준비 과정에서 500여 곡 이상의 데모 곡 중 다양한 장르의 14곡을 선곡했을 뿐만 아니라 곡마다 보이스 컬러를 바꾸는 등 완성도 높은 곡들을 담기 위해 심혈을 기울였다. 휘성의 5집 음반에는 2007년 상반기 최고의 히트곡 아이비의 ‘유혹의 소나타’로 명 호흡을 과시했던 프로듀서 박근태와 휘성이 타이틀곡을 포함, 3곡에서 작곡과 작사를 맡으며 하반기 가요계의 돌풍을 예고하며 기대를 모으고 있다. 또한, 김도훈, PJ, 박창현, 전해성, 태완, 태성, 최갑원, 강은경, 원태연, 오성훈 등 국내 최고 히트 작곡가들이 대거 참여 했으며, 1975년 발표되어 지금까지도 많은 사랑을 받고 있는 타미 볼린의 ‘Savannah Woman’을 휘성 스타일로 재해석한 곡도 이채롭다. 이번 휘성의 정규 5집 앨범 [Eternal Essence of Music]에는 국내의 히트 작사/작곡가가 대거 참여, 총 14 Track의 보석같은 곡들이 수록되었다.
