Peter is the boy we remember as being forever young. His shadow runs away from him, a fairy keeps an eye on him and he can fly. Back when we were all young, Peter took us along with Wendy and her brothers on an adventure far away to Neverland. There we fought pirates and crocodiles along with the indians and the Lost Boys. Mermaids swam across seas and even though everything seemed chaotic, all was like a fairy tale. Barry and Pearson's "Peter and the Starcatchers" keep that fairy tale alive and add a pinch of reality to it. They decide to create a book about how Peter ended up flying, how all the things we thought were special about him, were brought to life in the first place. And so we set off on a new journey, slightly similar to that of "Peter and Wendy". "Peter and the Starcatchers" is the first book of a series, showing what might well have been Peter Pan's beginnings. We meet newly enriched, but familiar characters; through them, shaking hands with the endless imagination that both authors have put into the book. Exciting and action filled, it is one of those books that can appeal to all ages and let you enjoy once more, the magic of J.M. Barrie's "Peter Pan".
