이 노래를 부른 Basshunter(본명 Jonas Erik Altberg )는 1984년 12월 22일 스웨덴 출생이다. 1999년(15세)부터 컴퓨터 프로그램으로 음반을 만들어 발표하였고 2004년 자신의 홈페이지를 통해 앨범 'The Bassmachine'로 데뷔하였다.
몇 곡의 Demo Song이 인터넷을 통하여 인기를 얻게 되자 그를 댄스클럽의 DJ로 채용하려는 클럽 사장들의 연락이 끊이지 않았다.
마침내 1996년 Warner Music과 계약을 하고 첫 싱글 "Boten Anna"를 스칸디나비아에서 발표하였는데 Boten Anna는 그가 인터넷에서 만났던 소녀와의 경험을 노래로 만든 것으로 그 소녀의 이름이 Anna이다. Basshunter는 이 곡을 웹을 통해 친구들에게 보내주었고 친구들은 다시 자신들의 지인들에게 이 노래를 알리기 시작해 지역 라디오방송국 DJ의 손에 들어가게 되었다. DJ는 이 곡을 방송에 들려주었고 엄청난 인기를 얻게 된다.
