Go Korea, we may be small in size; but together, we have nothing to fear.

아 한가지 더, 언론 메체 여러분. 제발 메달 중심의 보도 그만해주세요. 지금 타국에서

긴장하고 있을 선수들에게 조금이라도 더 위로가 되는 보도 부탁드립니다.

The hottest issue right now, I guess is the Beijing Olympic 2008. We've seen so many touching games. All of us, the whole world, are tearing and smiling with the players. What about the Opening Ceremony? What can I say? it was just marvelous, best-est of the world history. Hoping that the rest of the Olympic games will end successfully, I have to point out some faults in the Beijing Olympic.

Please be aware that I'm going to write in a Korean-Canadian point of view, and these are just a few of my opinions. I am begging you, PLEASE read the whole thing if you have time. Thank you very much.

1) We've seen bad manners. HORRIBLE audience manners, I must say. Have you watched the final game of Women's Archery? Whenever the player of Korea, Sung-Hyun Park, tried to pull the string back, the hostile crowd roared to disrupt the concentration of the archer. I, myself, didn't believe it when my friends told me about it; but when I saw the actual video on the news, "OH MY GOD," that's what I said. I couldn't believe it. That manner, the host-country-crowd showed, wasn't a Olympic manner. Where did the Olympic spirit go? Is Olympic really all about winning?

2) I know that if you are not a Korean, you might not agree with me or you might just be like "so what? what's the point of that girl? this has nothing to do with me." But trust me, you will agree with me on this: the judges are not being fair. The outcomes, the scores, they are just not acceptable. Well, I guess different people have different tatste but this is toooo different. I am sure that Koreans are not the only ones who feel the scores are unfair, I saw so many European players get unexpectable (in a bad way) scores.

I couldn't believe my eyes when Yang, Tae-Young, the gymnast of Korea, went down to the eighth place from the second place just because of a mistake in the last routine. I am aware that the mistake was a huge one. But he deserved more than that, even the American anchors agreed on that. Come on, the judges have to face this: it was not only Tae-Young who made mistake in the game that day. So many people did and they didn't get that huge amount of deduction. I would not be this sore if he went down to like fifth place, but eighth place from the second? That doesn't really makes sense. It was a huge mistake, but it was not THAT huge.

3) As a 18 years old high school student, I watched the Cold War of Olympic on the TV. I don't know what the elders, and the highly-educated people might say to me. But to me, a teenager, the judges were outrageously unfair to North Koreans. Yes, I'm a South Korean-Canadian. I know people think I'm supposed to be anti-North Korean, or something like that. But why does the title "North Korean" matter? Why are we so bothered by the nationality? I can't understand this. If the countries were going humiliate the N. Koreans, why did they even let them to be in the Olympic? It's too cruel. Letting them in, then giving them horrible scores just to make them feel guilty about being a "nuclear-weapon-possessing-communists." It is not like a political meeting is it? Give them a break. Please let them enjoy the international sport event. The sport players have nothing to do with the nuclear weapon. They were not born in N. Korea because they choose to. I have heard so many nasty comments made to the North Korean players by the announcers on Canadian and American TV channels. I even once heard that "The North Koreans just copied the routines of Chinese players." Oh, my gosh. Do you think that makes sense? How can you copy the routine of synchronized diving? It's all same routines they do. You just mix them up by your talent and taste, then you present them by the best way.

4) I know you will be interested in this if you are an American. As you may already know, the Chinese gymnasts were said to be "under-aged." We don't know for sure. But China is a massive country, ruled completely by the government. You can never question what the government do, if you do such a thing, you will be murdered soundlessly without any trace. It is said that the Chinese government changed the young gymnasts' age on the passport, because you have to be over 16 to be able to play in the Olympics. Again, we are not sure if China really decieved us, but who knows? They've done it for years and they might have as well this year.

5) Did you watch the Opening Ceremony? I know I know. It was the best among what we've seen until now. There's no doubt. Even I, have to admit that. I was so touched, I cried watching that. (It is true swear to God and one more thing that's true is I never hate Chinese. I love China, I love Chinese food, some of my best friends are Chinse-Canadians. What I want to point out are the bad manners we've seen on the Olympic shown by the host country.) But did you know that the 9-year-old girl who was singing the 2008-Official-Olympic-song was actually "lip-sync"ing? God... that news killed me. The cute, innocent girl, was fake singing!!!!!!!! The girl was chosen just because she had a pretty face, she didn't sing a word of that song. The Chinese admitted it, and they are ashamed of the fact. Let's please not let that kind of stuff happen next Olympic. Olympic should not be fake, for the hard-working the Olympians have done is not fake at all.

I know that China isn't the only country who should be blamed for. There has been always dark-side. Even Seoul 88 Olympic wasn't that clean either. I'm not only blaming China. But since China is the host country and the host country has the reponsiility to take care of things, China should work more.

Olympic judges, I beg you, please don't be blinded by colours. Please, please, make a right decision and give a fair score so that you can be proud when your daughters and sons see the event.

I, truelly hope for a clean Olympic. I love watching it, and I love seeing how the people from different countries mingle. I just can't hold my tears when I see the players handshake when competitions are over. Plus, good job Michael Phelps!! One big Yeah~ to America, the men's 800m relay was a knock out!!!

Olympic, am I too young to understand about the huge international event? I thought it was about improving and proving the sports players. I thought it was about cheers and the good feelings after the life-long hard training. I thought it was about being global neighbours. I thought it was about doing-your-best, not the time, not the score, nor the medals. And I hope, that I'm right although I'm young and immature yet.

Let's go everyone. We can do it! Hand-to-hand, heart-to-heart.

Best regards to all the Olympians, coaches and the families out there in Beijing.
