One of my primary objectives during this trip to Hiroshima was to find a symbol or two of peace. The Atomic Bomb Dome and Peace Museum were stunning, but I wanted some more, something other than tourist spots, something that is small, common, and blended with our everyday life. This sign I found in front of a local ramen place came to me as a big shock to me in two ways. 1. Peace posters and slogans like this are in fact everywhere throught the city of Hiroshima. 2. I finally came to finding this real piece of peace, which I indeed had been srrounded by pretty much the entire period of stay, two hours before departure. True, we take everything for granted when it too near us. Peace I guess isn`t an exception.
The Real Piece of Peace
