이새에게서 날 가지 The Branch From Jesse

이새의 줄기에서 한 싹이 나며

그 뿌리에서 한 가지가 나서 결실할 것이요.

A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse ;

from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.

여호와의 신 곧 지혜와 총명의 신이요.

모략의 재능의 신이요.

지식과 여호와를 경외하는 신이 그 위에 강림하시리니

The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him-

the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,

the Spirit of counsel and of power,

the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD -

그가 여호와를 경외함으로 즐거움을 삼을 것이며

그 눈에 보이는 대로 심판치 아니하며

귀에 들리는 대로 판단치 아니하며

and he will delight in the fear of the LORD.

He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes,

or decide by what he hears with his ears;

공의로 빈핍한 자를 심판하며 정직으로

세상의 겸손한 자를 판단할 것이며

그 입의 막대기로 세상을 치며

입술의 기운으로 악인을 죽일 것이며

but with righteousness he will judge

the needy, with justice he will give decisions

for the poor of the earth.

He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth ;

with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked.

공의로 그 허리띠를 삼으며

성실로 몸의 띠를 삼으리라.

Righteousness will be his belt

and faithfulness the sash around his waist.
