Everybody who was in Hotel SHILLA on June 4 2009 could feel the heat of passion. In order to boost the tourism industries, many experts and special guests visited to take part in tourism forum, travel market and Seoul tourism awards
At the Seoul tourism forum which was held on June 4 2009, many key tourism executive figure heads have come to participate in that one by delivering a precious speech of developing Korea tourism industries from around the world, such as Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore tourism bureaus. The speech included tourism vision and strategies of Seoul city government and tourism organization of Korea, as well as the successful tips of Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore as a tourism destination among the globe
At the travel market, any travel industries such as hotel, travel agency, air craft, amusement park etc joined the events to attract customers to buy their products and services. It was a first time to hold these kinds of travel market exhibitions in Korea so that much tourism related experts are very expecting the good results and positive in fluencies to Korea tourism industry status.
Lastly at the Seoul tourism awards 2009, 17 recipients; 7 individual awards and 12 corporate awards in 8 categories including Best overall contribution, Seoul celebrity & Merits, Best tourism policy, Best tourism Program, Best online tourism, Best overall travel agency, Best overall convention and Best tourism service
The chief Executive of Macao special Administrative Region received the Best overall contributions and made a comments on prize ‘Try to protect your uniqueness’ which means when travelers arrive in Macao, they can figure out the what is the uniqueness which could be seen just in Macao at that moment.
Yoon Seok-Ho, a director of Yoon’s color, received the Best Overall contributor to Seoul tourism. His drama was known for 4 season’s houses on airwaves; waltz of spring, aroma of summer, novel of autumn and sonata of winter. The big point of his winning prize was promoting Seoul as a tourism destination attracting travelers to come to Korea.
He wrapped up his thankful comments with saying ‘I would like to make a drama which can make a house in people’s mind
Ryu Si-Won, an actor, received the Best Korean star promoting Seoul Tourism. He has attracted many fans around 12000 foreign tourists to come to Korea annually. He has a history being recipient of the Presidential Citation in 2008 for contributions to Korea Tourism.
Toyoda Kazuyuki, whose name is known for Ik-ko, received Best Foreign Star Promoting Seoul Tourism. She has widely promoted Korean cosmetics on TV programs in Japan, which enhanced the brand image of domestic cosmetics and induced Korea as a destination for beauty tourism. She had a good manner and very sweet to Korean and Korean cultures etc.
Park Gi-Tae, a chief of cyber diplomatic ambassador ’Vank’, received Best Korean Journalism for Seoul Tourism. At the comments, he noted that his each member have promised they would bring international friends to come to Korea and he finished with his comments ‘Heart of Seoul can be hearts of world people’
The SHILLA hotel not only received the Best tourism service provider being ranked among the world’s Best 100 hotels by the institutional investor magazine and chosen as the ‘Best city hotel in Seoul’ for the 2008 TTG travel awards, but also the beetle map took the same prize as well.
The others who came from Singapore, NYC, Australia IFAC, INTERCOM, Lotte tour, JTB received the respective prizes.
At the final feast along with Seoul tourism awards continued going forward with high valued Korean style performances; court dance by Chong dong Theatre Art Group, Hwa Gwan Mu, Traditional Music by Jeong Ga Ak Hoe and NANTA by PMC.
All the participants could enjoy the dinner at the dynasty hall with dine service manner by well-trained staff of SHILLA hotel
