세 명의 여장 가수들(테렌스 스탬프, 휴고 위빙, 가이 피어스)이 펼치는 로드 무비로, 희망하는 삶과 정체성에 고민하는 성전환 남자들의 고민을 다룬 작품. 제목 '프리실라'는 이들이 타고 가는 버스 이름을 말한다. 깐느 영화제와 인연이 많은 스티븐 엘리엇 감독은 93년 첫 작품인 로 깐느 공식경쟁부문에 출품되었고, 두 번째 작품인 <프리실라> 역시 '주목할 만한 시선'에 초청되었다. 영화 전반에 걸쳐 주인공인 여장 가수들이 입고 나오는 화려한 의상들이 돋보이는데, 결국 아카데미에서 의상상을 수상하였다. 94년 시애틀 영화제 남우주연상 수상.
개인적으로 영화 자체는 마음에 들지 않습니다만은, 객관적으로 봤을때 꽤 대중적인 영화이고
사람들의 평가도 꽤 좋더군요.
무엇보다도 ost가 한몫을 하는 영화입니다.

Randy Crawford의 원곡의 느낌을 잘 살려 부른곡이죠.
에즈원의 '소망'이라는 노래로 한글판이 있긴하지만 가사내용은 좀 다른것 같네요.
최근 개인적으로 반복해서 듣고있는 노래에요.
가사는 물론 음색이 맘에 들어서 참 좋아하는 곡입니다.
이 노래는 영화 '프리실라'에서 오프닝곡으로 쓰였던 곡입니다.
오프닝에선 Charlene가 불렀는데 뭔가 에즈원이 부른 노래가 조금 더 제 정서에 맞는듯하네요.
