The Sound Of Music is a musical with music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II and a book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse. It is based on the memoir of Maria con Trapp, The Story of the Trapp Family Singers. Many songs from the musical have become standards, including the title song "The Sound Of Music", "Edelweiss", "My favorite Things", "Climb Ev'ry Mountain" and "Do-Re-Mi".The original Broadway production, starring Mary Martin and Thedore Bikel, opened in November 1959, and the show has enjoyed numerous productions and revivals since then. It has also been made into an Academy Award-winning 1965 film musical. The Sound Of Music was the final musical written by Rodgers and Hammerstein; Hammerstein died of cancer nine months after the Broadway premiere.

워낙 명작이고 하니..저도 어릴때부터 쭉 봐왔던 영화이고..
지금 토론토에서 뮤지컬로 상영 중인데..
나중에 시간 되면 한번 보러 가봐야겠습니다..
대충 스토리는 본 트랩가에 들어가게 된 수녀 마리아가
음악을 이용해 삭막한?! 본 트랩가의 분위기를 밝게 바꾸면서..
Georg von Trapp 대령과 사랑에 빠지게 됩니다
그리고 결혼 후, 나치를 피해 온 가족이 오스트리아를 떠나는 이야기죠!
봐도 봐도 지겹지 않는 영화! 그리고 음악!
