갑작스러운, 너무나 갑작스럽고 슬픈 소식을 전하게 되었습니다. Hydeout productions 소속 nujabes는, 2010년 2월 26일 심야, 동경도 미나토구의 수도고속도로를 내린 지점에서 갑작스러운 교통사고를 당해 구급차로 시부야구내의 병원으로 옮겨져 필사의 구명치료를 받았습니다만, 다시 심장이 뛰게 하지 못하여, 하늘나라로 가게 되었습니다. 36살의 생일을 조금 지난 급서였습니다.

장례는 nujabes의 음악과 함께, 가족만의 장례식으로서 조용하게 거행되었습니다. 이곳에 생전의 사랑에 깊이 감사드리며, 삼가 소식을 전합니다.  갑작스러운 부고를 접해, 하루 종일 슬픔과 회한이 쌓여가고 있습니다.  nujabes가 지금까지 세상에 남긴 음악들은, 음악에 대한 깊은 애정, 재능이 있는 선구자들에 대한 존경, 자유로운 정신과 독창성이 넘쳐, 듣는 사람의 감정을 울리게 하는 최고의 음악의 영역까지 높아져있었다고 생각합니다.

그는 자신의 음악을 향상 시키기 위해, 자기 자신의 마음과 정신을 극한까지 고양시켜, 하나 하나의 음을 부드럽게 엮어, 음악의 새로운 지평을 목표로 매일 필사적인 노력을 쌓아오고 있었습니다.

다행히도, nujabes가 만들어온 미발표 음원들이 스튜디오에 남겨져 있습니다. Hydeout productions은 앞으로 이 nujabes의 메시지를, 친구 Uyama Hiroto 등과 함께, 많은 분들에게 하루라도 빨리 전하고 싶다고 생각합니다.

팬 여러분, 관계자 여러분들께는 지금까지의 지원을 진심으로 감사드림과 동시에 앞으로도 nujabes의 음악을 소중히 애청해주시기를 마음으로부터 기원합니다.
