가지 않은 길

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood.

노란 숲 속에 길이 두 갈래 갈라져 있었습니다.

And sorry I could not travel both

나는 두 길을 갈 수 없는 한 나그네라

And be one traveller, long I stood

안타깝게 생각하면서, 오랫동안 서서

And looked down one as far I could

한 길이 덤불 속으로 꺾여 내려간 데까지

To where it bent in the undergrowth.

바라다 볼 수 있는 데까지 멀리 바라보았습니다.

Then took the other, as just fair,

그리고 똑같이 아름다운 다른 길을 택했습니다.

And having perhaps the better claim,

그 길은 풀이 더 우거지고 사람이 걸은

Because it was grassy and wanted wear.

자취가 적었기 때문입니다.

Though as for that the passing there

내가 그 길을 걸음으로 해서, 그 길도 거의

Had worn them really about the same,

같아질 것입니다만,

And both that morning equally lay

그 날 아침 두 길에는 낙엽을 밟은 자취가 없어,

In leaves no step had trodden black.

아무에게도 더럽혀지지 않은 채 묻혀 있었습니다.

Oh, I kept the first for another day

아, 나는 뒷날을 위해 한 길은 남겨 두었습니다.

Yet knowing how way leads on to way,

길은 길에 연하여 끝이 없으므로

I doubted if I should ever come back.

내가 여기 다시 돌아올 것을 의심하면서.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

머언 훗날, 훗날에 나는 어디에선가

Somewhere ages and ages hence

한숨을 쉬며 이야기 할 것입니다.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I

숲 속에 두 갈래 길이 있었다고,

I took the one less travelled by,

나는 사람이 적게 간 길을 택하였다고

And that has made all the difference.

그럼으로 해서 모든 것이 달라졌다고.
