TEDWomen is one of the special events that is hosted by TED one every 2~3 years. It is a conference in which TEDx events in various parts of the world are hosted on the topic of ‘the power of creative women that challenge to change the world’ and shared live. In TEDWomen 2015 that takes place in California Monterey from May 27th to 29th for three days has chosen Momentum as this year’s subject. We will be exploring on daring ideas that create a driving force when we think, live and work.
TEDxSeoulWomen 이벤트 역시 동일한 주제인 Momentum으로, 자신의 삶을 살아가는 한국 여성들에 대한 이야기를 통해서 사람들에게 영감을 주는 메세지를 전달하고자 합니다. 이는 단순한 강연 플랫폼이 아닌 '생각의 교류'를 통해 능동적이고 커다란 변화의 흐름을 만들어낼 수 있는 기회입니다.
TEDxSeoulWomen, also based on the same subject, Momentum, also endeavors to deliver an inspirational message through the stories of women who lead their lives in Korea. It is not merely a speech platform but more an opportunity to create an active and large wave of change through the ‘interaction of thoughts.’
TEDxSeoul은 우리 사회의 다양한 여성들이 스스로 자신의 길을 걸어나가는 것으로부터 이야기를 시작하고자 합니다. 여성이기 이전에 한 사람으로서 확립한 자신의 삶을 바탕으로, 사회가 부여한 전형적 역할을 거부하고 능동적으로 살아가는 사람들의 이야기는 성별의 차이를 넘어서 우리 사회의 모든 구성원들이 각자 자기만의 삶의 방향성을 탐색하고 실현하는데 힘이 될 것입니다.
TEDxSeoul wants to start by sharing the stories of women from various parts of the society who walk their own life paths. The stories of women as a person who actively took on a distinctive role rather than the role prescribed by the society will empower every member of the society to actualize their distinctive goals and explore about their own life directions beyond gender differences.
