영국 언론들의 보도에 따르면 에식스 대학의 연구자들이 남녀 3천6백명이 참가한
84회의 집단 미팅 결과를 분석해보니, 키가 1인치(뭐 대략 2cm) 클수록 남자가 여성들의 선택을 받을 확률이 5%씩 높아지는 것으로 나타났다고 하네요..ㅋ
또 젊은 남자가 인기가 높았는데 참가자의 평균 나이보다 한 살씩 많으면 선택 받을 확률은 4% (여성은 5%) 감소했다고..
한편 여성의 경우에는 체중이 인기도의 기준이 된다. 과체중인 여성이 선택 받은 확률은 16% 낮았다고 하는데..흥미로운 점은 과체중 남성은 특별히 손해를 보지 않았다는 사실이다.

Signing-up to speed dating
Speed Dating sessions are operated as an optional extra within the main Chemistry party format and you can sign-up to on-e or more sessions if you wish.
To sign-up for speed dating, all you have to do is go to the Sign-up Station and we will register you into the session of your choice using your 4 letter CUPID. Note: A small charge applies to participate in each speed dating session and is not included in your ticket price.
Session Format
Each Chemistry Speed Dating session typically lasts around 50 minutes and you should ensure you are arrive in the speed dating area 10 minutes before your session starts.
Typical Session times are 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm and 12pm and are split into suitable age ranges. Times and age ranges vary from from event to another.
How it works…
After you have registered your CUPID will be used to allocate you a position in the Speed Dating session.
When you arrive for your session a Chemistry team member will give you a personalized score-card which details the CUPID’s and names of each person you will meet during your mini-dates.
All you have to do is mark your score-card with a tick or cross for each date and optionally enter notes. You then take your card away with you after the event and log back into the Chemistry web-site to enter your matches. Entering your matches is quick and easy and we even show you a photo of the person to jog your memory.
Matching
Once you have entered your matches you will also be able to see who has matched you and be able to send messages using the Chemistry messaging tools. Or, if you can’t wait until the next day you could leave them a Flirt card underneath their picture on the encounters wall when the speed dating session is over.
