18일자 피플 최신호는 존 조를 "다음달 30일 개봉하는 코미디 영화 "해럴드와 쿠마 화이트 캐슬에 가다"(Harold&Kumar Go to White Castle)의 주연을 맡은 배우"라고 소개하며 "교양있고 자신의 생각이 분명한 멋진 남성"이라고 선정 이유를 밝혔다.
