하늘에서 새하얀 눈이 내려와 나의 오래된 마을을 뒤덮고 있네요.
쓰레기 처리장 위, 웅덩이도 뒤덮고, 부유한 집과 가난한 영혼도 뒤덮고 있네요. 기차역에도, 철도 선로 위에도 쌓이고, 다시는 돌아오지 않을 이들의 발자국도 뒤덮고 있네요.
가로등 아래한 소녀가 서 있네요. 이 세상에 친구가 하나도 없는 것처럼 보여요. 커다란 눈송이를 좀 보세요. 엉키며 둥글게 회전하며 소복히 내려오고 있어요.
하늘에서 새하얀 눈이 내려와 나의 오래된 마을을 뒤덮고 있네요.
우체통 위에도, 농장, 논밭 위에 쌓이고, 심지어는 철조망 가시도 아름다워 보이네요. 기차역에도, 철도 선로 위에도 쌓이고, 다시는 돌아오지 않을 이들의 발자국도 뒤덮고 있네요.

꼽느냐는 개인적 취향에 따라 매우 다를 것이다.
Weevers시절이나 이후 즉, 중기의 Pete Seeger의 작품들은
다듬어지지 않아서인지 시골냄새가 너무 많이 풀풀 풍기는 것 같아서
문화가 다른 우리들이 쉽게 친해지기는 힘들다.
이 노랜 후반기의 Pete Seeger의 베스트에
가까운 형태를 띠고 있어 무난하게 들을수 있는 곡..
특히 Snow Snow는 겨울에 들어야 함박눈이 펑펑 내리는
