"이룰 수 없는 꿈 (Impossible Dream)"

To dream the impossible dream,
To fight the unbeatable foe,

이루지 못할 꿈을 꾸고
도저히 쳐부술 수 없을 것 같은 적과 싸우면서

To bear with unbearable sorrow,
To run where the brave dare not go,  

견딜 수 없는 슬픔도 참아가며
용감한 이들도 가기 꺼려하는 곳으로 가려하고

To right the unrightable wrong, and to love pure and chaste from afar,

바로 잡을 수 있을 것 같지 않은 잘못을 바로 잡으려 하며
저 먼 곳에 있는 순수하고 정결한 것을 사랑하고,

To try when your arms are too weary,
To reach the unreachable star

양 팔의 모든 힘이 다 빠지도록 노력하며,
잡을 수 없는 저 별을 잡으려고 손을 뻗는 것

This is my quest to follow that star no matter how hopeless, no matter how far

그 일이 얼마나 희망이 없고 아무리 길이 멀어도,
여전히 갈구하는 것. 이것이 바로 나의 여정.

To fight for the right without question or pause,
to be willing to march, march into hell for that heavenly cause
And I know if I'll only be true,

아무런 의심 없이 중단 없이 정의를 위해 싸우고
천상의 목표를 위해 지옥에 가는 것도 두려워하지 않고

to this glorious quest that my heart will lie peaceful and calm when I'm laid to my rest.
And the world will be better for this
That one man scorned and covered with scars,
still strove with his last ounce of courage to reach the unreachable star.

이 영광의 여정에 충실해야 나 죽을 때 평화로우리.
아무리 조롱받고 상처입어도
저 잡을 수 없는 별에 닿으려고 노력하고 또 노력한다면
지금보다 세상은 더 좋아지겠지.
