1. You don't mind paying more for coffee than dinner
→커피 값이 저녁 값보다 비싸도 이상하지 않을 때
2. You want to go back to the States and open an IMF HOF HOUSE
→미국으로 돌아가서 IMF 호프집을 열고 싶을 때
3. A roll of toilet paper at the dinner table doesn't bother you
→(화장실에서 쓰는) 두루마리 휴지가 식탁에 올려져 있어도 아무렇지 않을 때
4. You like to cut your noodles with scissors
→면을 가위로 잘라먹을 때
5. You don't even notice the misspelled signs in English (eg."openning")
→철자가 틀린 영어표지판를 보고도 틀렸다는걸 알아차리지 못할때 (예를들면 openning같은...)
6. You can balance a 50 pound bowl on your head and walk briskly
→무거운 물건을 머리위에 지고도 재빨리 걸어갈 수 있을 때
7. You say “o-rai, o-rai” when your helping your buddy back up his car.
→친구가 차를 뺄 때, "오라이~ 오라이~"라고 말하고 있을 때
8. You learned more about U.S. history through AFKN than all of your years in school combined.
→학교를 다닐 때보다 한국에서 AFKN으로 배운 미국의 역사가 더 많아졌을때
9. You start having kimchi and rice for breakfast
→밥과 김치로 아침을 때우기 시작할 때

→운전하다가 나에게 경적을 울려대는 사람에게 "바보새끼야"라고 소리칠 때

→달러 지폐의 크기가 왠지 모르게 작아보일 때
26. You understand what they're trying to sell through the loudspeaker in that truck that drives by your house every morning.
→매일 아침 집 앞에서 시끄러운 스피커를 켜고 돌아다니는 트럭에서 무엇을 팔려고 하는 것인지를 알게 될 때
27. You find yourself sucking air through your teeth when a shopkeeper offers you their "best price"
→점원이 "제일 싼 가격"을 제시한다는데 못 믿겠다는 표정이 지어질 때
28. You salivate every time you see a Lassie episode
→"래시" 이야기를 보며 침을 흘리고 있는 당신을 발견할 때 (개가 나오는 TV 보며 군침 흘리는 거..)
29. You know exactly what kind of dogs are "good"
→어떤 개가 "좋은 개"인지를 구별해 낼 수 있을 때 (역시 보신탕 얘기인 듯..)
30. You look forward to lunches at the KATUSA Snack Bar
→KATUSA 스낵바에서 점심을 때우고 싶어질 때
31. You've bought everything they sell on the subway
→ 지하철 안에서 파는 것들을 종류별로 이미 다 사보았을때

→미국 영화를 볼 때 나오는 한글 자막이 신경 쓰이지 않을 때
33. You find yourself wanting to got back to the market so you can pop those ""bbon-dae-gi""
→동네 슈퍼로 돌아가서 군것질로 뻔데기를 사먹고 싶어질 때
34. You bring along your own chopsticks when you go to McDonald's
→맥도날즈에 젓가락을 가지고 갈 때 (진짤까?)
35. You've eaten pig's feet
→족발을 먹을 수 있게 되었을 때
(족발, 순대를 외국사람들한테 설명하면 거의 미치려고 합니다.)
36. Korean cops no longer look like boy scouts.
→한국 경찰이 보이스카웃처럼 보이지 않게될 때(&)
37. You can pronounce "hyundai" correctly
→Hyundai를 "현대"라고 발음할 수 있게 될 때
38. You think it's odd that the bus driver doesn't play the radio out loud back in the States.
→미국에 돌아갔을 때, 버스기사가 라디오를 크게 틀어놓지 않는 것이 이상하다고 생각될 때
39. The waitress cusses you out for not tipping her upon your return to the States
→미국에 돌아가서 식당에서 실수로 팁을 안주고 나와서 웨이트리스가 당신에게 욕하는 것을 들었을 때
40. You're 5ft.9in. and you think you're kind of tall.
→176인 키가 크다고 생각될 때
41. You start using henna rinse when you see your first grey hair
→자기 머리에 난 흰머리를 처음보고 염색약을 쓰게될 때
42. You hear someone release gas and you say, "Who bang-goo'ed?"
→방구소리를 듣고, "누가 방구 꼈어!!"라고 말할 때
43. The first thing you ask for at a restaurant is a cup of "coffees"
→레스토랑에 가서 젤 먼저 coffees를 달라고 할때

→음악회에서 지휘자가 고개숙여 인사를 하면 박수를 치는게 아니라 덩달아 고개숙여 답례할때

→사람이 많은 곳에서도 껌을 소리내며 씹으면서도 아무렇지도 않을 때

→밤참으로 식은 밥과 남아있던 생선대가리를 먹게될 때

→ 공무용차(Public Owned Vehicle)를 "내 차"라고 표현할 때..(아마 우리나라 사람들 공용물과 사유물 구분 못하는 걸 빗댄듯..)
48. You stop being surprised after laboring up a mountain for two hours and running into a young woman all dressed up in heals and a young man in a suit and tie
→두시간동안에 걸쳐 힘들게 산에 올라갔는데 산꼭대기에서 예쁘게 차려입고 하이힐을 신은 아가씨와 정장에 넥타이까지 한 남자를 보고도 놀라 멈춰서게 되지 않을 때. (하하...)
49. You call back to the States and ask your friend if he has moved into his new "apar-t," yet
→미국에 돌아가서도 "apartment"라는 말 대신 "아파트"라는 말을 쓰고 있을 때
50. You are on leave in the States and refer to an apartment building as a mansion
→미국에 돌아가서도 apartment building을 "맨션"이라는 단어로 표현할 때 (맨션은 대문에서 집현관까지 한 50미터-_-;는 되는 대저택을 이르는 말)
51. Someone steps on your toe and apologizes and you say,
"No sweat-ee da"
→누가 발을 밟고 사과하면 "No sweat이다"라고 말끝에 ~이다를 붙여서 얘기하게 될때 .
52. Your favorite exclamation is "Ai-go jook get da"
→한국말로 "아이고 죽겠다"라는 감탄사를 쓰게될때
53. You buy dried squid to munch on while you are stalled in traffic
→차가 꽉 막힌 길에서 마른 오징어를 사 먹을때
