마음을 비우는 연습

어느 하나를
절실히 원하다 갖게되면
얻은 것에 대한 감사하는 마음은
어느듯 짧은 여운으로 자리잡는다

또 다른 하나를 원하며
채워진것 보다 더 많이 바라는 것이
사람의 마음인가보다..
이렇듯 욕심은
끝없이 채워지지 않는가 보다

갖고 있을 때는 소중한것을 모르고
잃고 나서야 비로소 그것이 얼마나
소중했는지를 깨닫게 된다

현명한 사람은
갖고 있는것에대해 감사하는
마음을 잃지 않으려 노력한다

갖고 있던것을 잃은 뒤에
그것에 대한 소중함을 깨닫는 것은
이미 늦어 버리기 때문이다

욕심을 버리고
마음을 비우는 연습을 해야겠다
그리고 아직 내게 주어진 시간들이
남아 있기에 그것 또한 감사 할뿐이다

후회가 되는 삶을 반복하지 않기 위해서..
