    Young children love to move their bodies and enjoy responding physically to both new

    and familiar experiences. Creative movement is an ideal form to introduce to children as

    they learn to look at works of art in the museum as well as to observe the world around

    them. As their language skills are developing, they can explore the many rich possibiliti

    es for self-expression through movement. As they learn about the elements and principl

    es of art, children demonstrate their understanding and responses through movement.
