이로써 우리도 듣던 날부터

너희를 위하여 기도하기를 그치지 아니하고 구하노니

너희로 하여금 모든 신령한 지혜와 총명이

하나님의 뜻을 아는 것으로 채우게 하시고

주께 합당히 향하여 범사에 기쁘시게 하고

모든 선한 일에 열매를 맺게 하시며

하나님을 아는 것에 자라게 하시고

그 영관의 힘을 좇아 모든 능력으로 능하게 하시며

기쁨과 모든 견딤과 오래 참음에 이르게 하시고

우리로 하여금 빛 가운데서

성도의 기업의 부분을 얻기에 합당하게 하신

아버지께 감사하기를 원하노라

COIOSSIANS 1:9~12

For this reason, since the day we heard about you,

we have not stopped praying for you and asking.

God to fill you with the konwledge of his

will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.

And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy

of the Lord and may please him in every way:

bearing fruit in every good work,

growing in the knowledge of God,

being strengthened with all power according to his glorious

might so that you may have great endurance and patience,

and joyfully giving thanks to the Father,

who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of

the saints in the kingdom of light.
