80년대 프랑스의 10대 우상 소피마르소가 13세때 700명의 후보를 물리치고
주역으로 뽑혀 영광을 안았던 영화로 파리에서만 관객 450만을 동원시켰고,
어지간해서 속편을 잘 만들지 않는 프랑스 영화계에서 2년후에 속편이 역시
소피마르소의 주연으로 제작될 정도로 인기가 있었다.
'라붐(la boum)'은 '파티'라는 의미로, 남성관사 'le'를 사용해야 하는데 주인
공이 소피마르소인 까닭에 여성 관사 'la'를 사용했다고 한다.
