Ticket to Ride
I think I-9;m gonna be sad
I think it-9;s today yeah.
The girl that-9;s driving me mad
is going away.
She-9;s got a ticket to ride.
She-9;s got a ticket to ride.
She-9;s got a ticket to ride
But she don-9;t care.
She said that living with me
is bringing her down yeah.
For she would never be free
when I was around.
She-9;s got a ticket to ride.
She-9;s got a ticket to ride.
She-9;s got a ticket to ride
But she don-9;t care.
I don-9;t know why she-9;s ridin so high
she ought to think twice
She ought to do right by me.
Before she gets to saying goodbye
she ought to think twice
She ought to do right by me.
I think I-9;m gonna be sad
I think it-9;s today yeah.
The girl that-9;s driving me mad
is going away yeah.
She-9;s got a ticket to ride.
She-9;s got a ticket to ride.
She-9;s got a ticket to ride
But she don-9;t care.
I don-9;t know why she-9;s ridin so high
she ought to think twice
She ought to do right by me.
Before she gets to saying goodbye
she ought to think twice
She ought to do right by me.
She said that living with me
is bringing her down yeah.
For she would never be free
when I was around.
Ah she-9;s got a ticket to ride.
She-9;s got a ticket to ride.
She-9;s got a ticket to ride.
But she don-9;t care.
My baby don-9;t care...
"Ticket to Ride" is a song by The Beatles from their 1965 album, Help!. It was recorded 15 February 1965 at Abbey Road Studios and released two months later. In 2004, this song was ranked number 384 on Rolling Stone magazine-9;s list of the 500 greatest songs of all time.
The song was written primarily by John Lennon (credited to Lennon/McCartney), with Paul McCartney-9;s contributions in dispute. Lennon said that McCartney-9;s contribution was limited to "the way Ringo played the drums".[1] McCartney said that was an incomplete response, and that "we sat down and wrote it together... give him 60 percent of it... we sat down together and worked on that for a full three-hour songwriting session."[2] Lennon said the double-time ending section (with the lyric "My baby don-9;t care") was one of his "favorite bits" in the song.[1]
