전미소고기생산업자협회 회장  그로세타 한국에서 돌아오다. 

In this National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA) audio clip, NCBA President Andy Groseta (pronounced GROW-SETT-UH) reflects on his trip earlier this week to South Korea. Groseta, a rancher from Cottonwood, Arizona, was selected as part of the official delegation representing the United States at the inauguration of Korea's new president, Le Myung-bak (pronounced LEE MING BOCK).

이  전국소고기생산업자 연합 (NCBA) 의 오디오 클립안에는,

그로세타 회장님은 조만간 미국산 소고기의 수출이 재개 될 것으로 예측하나, 한국정책 진행경과를 계속  재촉하겟다고 합니다.

Groseta expressed confidence in the relationship the United States can expect to have with the new administration in South Korea.

그로세타회장님은  한국의 새 행정부가  미국과의 관계에  신임을 얻을 수 있을 것이라고 밝혔다

He is also confident that once trade is resumed, Korean consumers will respond in a big way.

It was just an incredible experience – on-ce in a lifetime experience.

이명박 대통령의 취임식에 초청된 것은 크나큰 영광이다. 그것은 정말 인생에 한 번 있을까 말까 한 경험이었다.

I am very encouraged. It’s a timing issue in Korea. President Lee is in support of the FTA.

He’s also in support of getting beef back into his country, but they have election scheduled for April 9th,

and he wants to make sure that he can get some of his people who have the same view

that he has in the national assembly so that they can open up trade.

 전망은 고무적이다. 근데 한국에서는 이게 타이밍 문제다. 이 대통령은 FTA 와 소고기 수입을 지지하는데 한국에서 선거가 4월9일까지 있고 그때 이 대통령이 자기와 같은 생각을 하는 '내사람" his people 을 국회에 꼭 넣어서 통상을 시작할수 있게 하려한다.<--총선개입

His goals for Korea are very inspiring: on-e less government to less taxes,

less government regulation, and develop more overseas trade,

develop a better relationship with the United States.

그의 목표는 대단하다. 세금을 내리고, 정치적인 규제들을 완화하고 싶어한다. 그리고 더 많은 해외무역을 하며,

미국과의 관계도 더 돈독히 하고 싶어한다.

I’m told that the public in Korea, about 60 to 70% of the public, really want US beef back in the market.

I was on a tour of the market called E-Mart. It’s on-e of the large chain stores.

I met with the manager of the E-mart, and he said he can’t wait to get US beef back in their markets.

Their customers want it and he’s anxiously waiting, so I think prospects are very good.

한국 국민의 60~70%가 미국산 쇠고기를 원한다고 들었다. 이마트라는 대형체인마트에 갔었는데,

그곳의 관리인도 빨리 미국산 쇠고기를 들이고 싶어한다. 고객들도 원하고, 그도 기다리고 있다. 전망은 밝다고 생각한다.

이미 취임식 때, 전미소고기협회회장을 초대해선 총선만 지나면 다 열어주기로 약속을 했으니,

협상이 무슨 의미가 있었겠어요. 관보내용도 제대로 숙지못한 채 이틀만에 졸속으로

협상이 마무리된 명백한 이유가 드러나기 시작하네요.

자신을 뽑아준 국민들에게 이런식으로  복수를 하는 대통령도 존재하는군요. 무섭습니다.
