2NE1′s CL, Yu Bin of the Wonder Girls, and Yoon Mi Rae attracted a lot of attention from overseas hip-hop fans.

On August 22 (local time), the America’s popular hip-hop magazine XXL announced five hottest K-pop female rappers.

2NE1′s CL and Gong Minji, Yu Bin of the Wonder Girls, Yoon Mi Rae, and 4Minute’s Hyun Ah were on the list.

It’s interesting that a popular hip-hop magazine that a lot of global music fans read selected five hottest K-pop female rappers. As K-pop is becoming more and more popular, many Korean rappers are attracting attention from global music fans. Yoon already attracted a lot of attention by working with Far East Movement.

XXL says, “K-pop is now globally popular because of its distinctive dances, fashion, and music style.” It also tells that such famous producers as Kanye West and will.i.am are working with some K-pop singers.

Yoon was also selected as one of the top twelve female rappers by MTV ‘iggy.’

It’s been commented that Yoon’s talent in rapping and singing and her distinctive music style have appealed to many music fans all over the world.

2NE1 are also acknowledged in overseas countries. XXL once selected 2NE1 as a singing group that the popular American rapper 50 Cent has to consider working with.

Yu Bin of the Wonder Girls has gained recognition in the U.S. as the Wonder Girls released some albums in that country, and 4Minute’s Hyun Ah attracted a lot of attention as her music video received a lot of hits on YouTube.
