오승열작가는 1981년 서울 출생으로 2003년 Elam School of Fine Arts, University of Auckland 학사 졸업, Elam School of Fine Arts, University of Auckland 석사 졸업하였다.
현재 뉴질랜드와 한국을 오가며 작업 중이다.

한국에서 태어난 오승열 작가는 뉴질랜드로 이주해서 현재는 뉴질랜드 시민이다. 그는 University of Auckland’s Elam School of Fine Arts에서 석사를 마쳤다. 대학원 시절부터 그는 여러 전시 경험을 갖게 되었고 이미 신진작가로서 대중들에게 많은 관심을 받고 있다.
