Summary
In S.Korea, many youtube channels use misogyny because misogyny is a popular selling point.
As a country whose gender gap is 118/144 countries, you may guess how severe it is.
Pay gab is over 36%, meaning women get paid alomost 40 % lowever than men without no reason.
I wanted to point out eating show content is also based on misogyny.
As Elsa in Frozen by Disney became not only her independence or her strong talents but mostly by the characters which men think highly of such as young women, beauty, and perfectly moral which would not be harmful to male dominant society.
Recent popular eating show channel run by women have the same traits.
They became popular not because they eat well and a lot but because they are the women who fit into a strict beauty standard.
Thankfully, there are other channels that minimize misogyny as much as possible to empower women to go further together.
However, even those channels get advertisements from misogyny products such as losing weight foods and misogyny products only beauty will save women's life.
However, still, S.Korea women have some hope because we figure out this misogyny in our life every day and created some youtube channels to fight back misogyny.
Also, this website, WOMAD, is a place for women to escape from corsets society forced us to wear as if it were our choices to wear misogyny.
I know I made some mistakes in English but you knew what I meant. I think that is important.
