오늘 All Souls Church에 Roger Salisbury 라는 새로운 목사님이 오셨다. 오늘 첫 설교내용은 "하나님 안에서 우리모두는 하나" 라는 내용이다. (제목과 같이, Under the name of Jesus Christ, we are united.)
로마서 15장 1절부터 7절까지 내용이다. 오늘 본문의 내용도 좋았지만, 설교 중간에 읽어주셨던 로마서 12장 9절부터의 내용이 가슴에 너무 와 닿는 내용이다.
Romans Chapter 12 verse 9 to verse 21
Love must be sincere. Hate what is eveil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need. Parictice hospitality.
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay." says the Lord.
On the contrary:
"If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
로마서 12장 전체가 주옥과 같은 글이네... 홀딱 외워버리고 싶다.
오늘 눈물이 날뻔했다.
(날씨 너무 좋아서 집으로 가는길이 너무 아까웠다.)
