Lesson 9--Spitting Image(=perfect likeness=the close resemblance)=빼닮음

말투/행동이나 모습이 누군가를 쏙 빼닮았다고 할 때 이 표현을 사용한다. 

Ex)

A: Hey, Bro, Look at Puggy(my dog's name)~! He's just like you. Everytime he feels sleepy, he gets cranky.

B: What?

A: Come on, admit it.  You used to be like that. Right around bedtime, you'd get  irritated over nothing. Everytime you behaved like that, we all knew that you were feeling sleepy. Don't you remember?

B: Well, I guess, I do...

A: What I'm saying is (that) Puggy's the spitting imiage of you.

여기서 Cranky는 투정부리다/짜증내다로 해석한다...

Lesson 10--It's about time=~할 때가(도) 됐다

Ex)

A: Hey, Jd, what's up with all those girls you are seeing?

B: What do you mean?

A: I mean, don't waste your precious time seeing the ones that you are not

even interested in. You know, it's about time you pick out the one you'd

want to have a serious relationship with.

B: Umm....

A: Don't forget that you won't stay "young and handsome" forever. ()

B: I guess you are right...thanks for the advice, Phil.
