Midnight song

I sang a song

about the times of my innocence

when I cared about everything

and believed in myself to be something.

Little did I ever know

that one day of being the crowd

 could completely change

my whole perspective

and catalysed the wonder 

that I once wanted to be a star.

that I cannot stop the clock ticking
