After watching the musical “Cats”
The other day, I saw the musical “Cats” with my fellow.
It was really fabulous show except for the fact that I booked A seats.
They were aisle seats on 3rd floor of Daegu Opera House. When the show begins, a door next to our seats was open ajar and a cat slinked toward us. On looking at my friend’s indifferent face in a daze, it stayed a while and slinked away from us. It was our first and last chance to meet a “Cat” closely in person.
Among the many characters of cats, I like the “Rum Tum Tugger” most. He was so sexy and danced sexy dance, or so called “저질 dance”. His appearance in his tight black pantyhose was just fabulous and his voice was jolly attractive. Oh~ I love him~ J
The show was really fantastic except for one thing. Needless to say that British English is hard to understand when the actors speak very fast, I could hardly understand what they were singing especially when they sing in choir. Before going to that show, I actually read the script once. But it was not enough. Sometimes I couldn’t get focused and even my friend fell a sleep. Haha~ J After an hour I just gave up understanding the lyrics and songs or whatever they say and decided to enjoy the show.
Here’re tips for you.
1. Take VIP or R aisle seats, it’s worthy for that price and you’ll never be disappointed. Especially seats between A and B, or between B and C. It’s the best seats since cats are always there. More over, Rum Tum Tugger goes down to that area and dance. ;-)
2. Read the script before you see “Cats,” or possibly download the show and watch it before you go. Never believer your listening capacity. It doesn’t help you a lot and the subtitle is sometime not helpful. In addition, you can’t get focused on the show. So remember Read the script or possibly watch the “cats” movie before you go.
3. Get focused on the show. That’s all I wanted to say.
Personally the casts were good, but they are not that seasoned actors or actresses, I think. Also I felt
that it’s better to see a dinner time show since they were not ready enough to dance and sing in the
afternoon. Oh~ I wanna see that show next time maybe another 4 years later :-)
