리골레토:
전 3막. V.위고의 희곡 《왕은 즐긴다 Le Roi s’amuse》(1832)에 의한 프란체스코 피아베의 대본으로 작곡, 1851년 3월 베네치아의 페니체극장에서 초연되었다. 리골레토는 호색가 만토바공작의 시중을 드는 꼽추 익살꾼이다. 리골레토의 딸 지르다는 학생으로 변장한 공작을 사랑하고 공작은 그녀를 농락한다. 이를 안 리골레토는 복수를 맹세하고 공작을 살해할 것을 자객 스팔라푸칠레에게 의뢰한다. 이를 안 지르다는 스스로 공작 대신 자객에게 찔려 죽고 리골레토는 절망한다.
