AVALON IS...
"A NEO TOKYO band like JUSTICE played by HOT CHIP"
This band should be taken notice of by people who think Japanese music is nothing more than J-POP.......
AVALON are a four piece band aged 20 to 25 who all play synthesizers and keyboards.
Although the debut mini-album was more influenced by guitar bands, the subsequent release of '4 Gospels For 2 Testaments' three months later finds AVALON in control of melodious romantic synthesizer neo-pop, just like a French soap opera of late 70's to early 80's, and tracks such as 'Avalonian's Shrine' and 'Exodus Testament' are fresh and exciting. Add to that a bit of METRONOMY-esque stylings this is a guarantee for hip clubs all over the world.
Open your ears and soon you'll soon they're special, offering something new from a Japanese music scene mostly only known for whilst experimental/noise music -
